Too many UK freight vehicles return with unused capacity while nearby businesses pay for separate deliveries. The result is avoidable cost, congestion and emissions—and an incomplete picture of how regional freight infrastructure is actually used.

FreightFlow is building Backhaul, a real-time matching platform that connects those empty return legs with suitable short-notice loads. Operators gain productive work, SMEs access more efficient delivery options, and local authorities receive aggregated evidence to guide infrastructure and growth decisions.
